Last spring I treated the decking in my new (to me) house with Screwfix No Nonsense Decking Oil. Nothing else comes as near as cheap.

Kept the decking in OK condition and at least it didn't turn into an slippery skating rink this winter.

Needs doing again a year later.

The thread from last year when I asked 🙂

I did my 1 yr old decking last year with Liberon deck oil from screwfix. Put two coats on, it still looks ok, will probably just give it one coat this year.

i recently asked this on my 'shed thread'.

i was going to go for the no nonsense screwfix stuff myself, but when i looked at the website, the liberon clear decking oil was a quid cheaper, and as its a recognised name i plumped for that.

the darker oils such as oak etc were twice the price but i wanted clear anyway cos i like the look of my wood as it is.

btw, while i was in there others were buying the no nonsense stuff, and it gets good reviews too, id have been happy with that too.
