Happened across a video where the supposedly 9/10 security rated disc padlock I have on my shed was picked in about 1 second. They literally jabbed a picking tool into it, turned the cylinder and opened the lock.
Other than this, the lock does seem to have good security features. I'm surprised it is so bad.

Perhaps looking for a more secure replacement or might even add a proper door lock to the door or something like the Gatemate. Any recommendations?

I’d sort every other method of accessing the shed first - how easy is it to gain access without even going near the lock. Anyone with malintent, will look for the easiest way in, not how to defeat the the really big lock - see cutting of bike racks rather than locks.

2 locks are better than one, for sure.
In terms of padlock, I do recommend Abloy with Protec2 key system. They're always few on eBay.

I have a pragmasis bought lock.

My primary security feature is the bikes being at the back of the garage with a multitude of kids toys in the way and a deflated paddling pool draped over the top.
This also prevents me getting to the bike easily this preserving its condition

Scrotes generally carry screwdrivers and hammers, not lockpicks. Would your shed resist a dropkick to the door?

the supposedly 9/10 security

I quite often find even locks from the same manufacturer aren't using the same scale of comparison from one lock to another. Their cheapest locks are bound to be a fraction as secure as their beefiest and burliest and yet they don't claim any of their locks are 3/10 - they all seem to manage to be almost the most secure you can buy. 🙂

At my last place the scrotes broke into a house by launching a terracotta play pot through the window. Always inventive.

Do not buy an ABUS 190CS/60 Combination Padlock. I did, I bought three at £60 each, after googling 'What's the best combination padlock' and seeing a couple of good reviews for this sturdy and unpickable it is.

I fitted the first one yesterday. All locked up fine, went back ten minutes later, fumbled when unlocking it and dropped it, and the shackle cover smashed. ****ing useless.

Agree with the rest of the comments. Look for the path of least resistance and reinforce that. Often it isn’t the lock.

Also consider layers. Assuming they get it, your secondary line of defence needs to be good. Think ground anchor, awkward location, big chain etc.

As with any security, layering is the best option.

Since you ask though, we have 4 Squire locks from Pragmasis on the outside and 2 of the same inside linked to chains and a ground anchor embedded 2 ft down in the foundations. I can recommend these. I have also replaced at least one screw on every hinge and fitting with a coach bolt through to the inside. As a previous reply said, your padlock is useless if they can just unscrew your door off its hinges!

After seeing them recommended by someone on here got a GateMate Double-Locking Long Throw lock. Also replaced the thin standard issue door hinges with Smith & Locke gate hinges (that came with a square hole for a coach bolt), fitted with one way screws.

The neighbour got done over when they just unscrewed the screws holding the hinges on. Silent, easy, no power tool required.

I told him to put araldite in the cross heads but he didn't listen
