Off to Sheffield City Hall tonight and we're hoping to get something to eat beforehand.

Ideally near the venue and not somewhere that takes an age to get food out as traffic depending we may be tight on time! 😀

Thanks! 👍

Cambridge street collective might be a shout for you. Couple of minutes walk to the city hall. It’s a food hall with plenty of different vendors and a central bar. Usually pretty speedy, but might not be if it’s busy.

Pho in Leopold square was good last time I went. Other choices are the Sheffield Plate in Orchard Square which is okay or the new place Cambridge Street Collective, which I've not been to and heard mixed reviews about. All within a 2-3 minute walk.

Was going to recommend the Cutlery Works but it may be a bit far from the venue.

Still, if you have the transport, very good 'street food market' set -up and the food usually arrives pretty rapidly.

Ah how I miss the homemade mince and onion pie with suet crust at the Stonehouse. Half a century ago!!

Most of the good places are a bit further out IMO. Could try Grazie or La Bottega if you like Italian (both on Leopold St). Ego in the Winter Gardens was decent when I went there for an Xmas meal, but not been for the "regular" menu.
