Currently have A Black Rock cover where the rubber edging has cine away from the plastic rear.
Unfortunately Mous are silly money and, besides, don't do one for my phone.
Want something that's not super soft and rubbery like the old silicone case I had. Can't slide the phone into pockets. Fluff collects on it.
Any ideas/recommendations?
Phone is a Samsung S21 Fe 5g.
The Quadlock stuff is on 30% off for Black Friday at the moment. I've been happy with mine and of course you get the option to use with their bike/car/desk/etc mounts. They meet the non-fluffing/easy-to-slide into a pocket criteria as well.
my sons got an Otterbox for his iPhone. He’s got cerebral palsy so tends to drop the phone a lot. It’s survived so far it.
Otterbox is robust and good quality. I have the Otterbox commuter on my Pixel 7a and one of their screens. I'm clumsy AF and drop my phone a lot. It does a great job.
Just got a Carveit wood case for my pixel 7, bit spendy but good quality.
Another happy user of Otterboxes - my phone has even survived a couple of drops when mountain biking.
Another shout for Otterbox.
They make excellent cases.
I like Caudaube. Good protection without being bulky. They do Samsung and iPhone cases.
Had my Galaxy S9 in a Supcase Unicorn Beetle for about 5 years now, still looks like the day I took it out of the box. that's the phone, not the case. The case is still in good condition apart from the clear bit, scratched to buggery, but usuable.

I bought a pair of cases from RedBubble.
Arrived a couple weeks later than originally indicated and needed a prompt via customer service.
fun art work available.

case is in 2 parts. Rubbery inner. Smooth, printed plastic shell.

works well. I don’t usually have or like cases but these are OK. if I remember correctly about £25 with a sign up discount.
Have tried quite a few different cases over the last 16 years , eBay specials to stoopid money versions for a bit of Chinese plastic ( albeit with a bit of engineering built in)- Otterbox always comes out as the safer option.
I've been very happy with my peak designs case. It's maglock and there's a mechanical connection to their bike and camera mounts

Been a happy spigen customer for years. Currently have an otterbox cos the spigen I wanted was out of stock and it’s also decent but a bit pricier than the spigen
+4 for Spigen. Previously used Otterbox but the little flap that covers the USB socket used to get in the way of some charge cables, or just fall off after a while.
Put a Spigen Tough Armour on my s23 ultra. I have dropped it a few times and it's still working so I'm ok with this.
Another happy otterbox user here. I have the commuter series on my S21 since new and still like new. No issue with the rubber usb flap mentioned above. Had it fall off an older version (S6 or S10? Can’t remember) but they seem to of made it thicker/more robust now, no issues after 2years here.
I'm a bit disappointed with my otterbox Strada case. Well made but poorly designed - its a wallet type case with a card holder in the flap - the card slots are too tight to use properly and if you manage to put cards in them the flap won't close properly becuase the hinge / spine doesn't have enough articulation for that extra couple of mm so its sort of doubly useless. The magnet in the cover that activates iOS sleep when you close the case is too powerful so keeps switching the phone off even when fully open. Seems to somehow end up bulkier than comparable cases without really offering any additional protection
Happy Spigen user here. Many a drop survived without so much as a scratch. Gorilla glass helps too mind
Yet another happy Spigen customer here.
Spigen user here too. Great value for money.
STW strikes again
haven’t even got or wanted a case for my phone, stupidly opened this thread, liked the reports on the Spigen and have just ordered one!
RhinoShield here, had a few over the years and survived many big drops.
Got my first Spigen recently, I'll be sticking with them in the future.
I’ve been using Rinké cases for ages, they give good coverage, they have a lanyard attachment point on each side, and they’re not expensive. The screen protector I use has no black edges it’s just a plain clear sheet of glass. Mine’s on an iPhone, but it shouldn’t be difficult to get one for that phone. Apparently Amazon do them in clear for about £11.
