Does it exist?
It's the god of coffees...
No.
But try Redbush for a decent no-caff alternative.
Is this not like 'cheap, strong, light', pick two?
it used to. The carte noire instinct decaff sachets were alright.
But since carte noire brand got bought and they changed to l'Or and dropped the instinct product I wouldnt know others instead. What about starbucks?
More like 'cheap, strong, light', pick one.
I think the Mrs has Kenco and the decaff is nicer than the caff caff. I often drop a bit in with my Dowe Egberts dark roast for a nice twang.
The decaf process kills any coffee imo. It tastes like it's been brewed with swimming pool water.
The Dowe Egberts blue jar one is pretty good.
We've got some Gold Blend decaf at work; I don't mind the regular Gold Blend but the decaf is rank.
Millicano.
Ignore, you said decaf.
You monster ......
Another vote for Millicano here.
Millicano +1
Azera Americano
[s]g/f liked millicano, before buying a pod coffee maker, so I used to buy her that
(Shh I don't like coffee)[/s]
EDIT: Decaf, what the point in drinking coffee if it's decaf?
Try Orzo (barley coffee) for an alternative to coffee. It is caffeine free.
If it does exist should it and should you be considering drinking it?
The answer to both of course is no...
The Azeri decaf is OK.
Decaf coffee that's like a bike with no wheels. 😛
We have some Kenco decaffeinated coffee at the moment, and to paraphrase Mick Dundee you can drink it but it tastes like xxxx (actually it's quite nice but I saw some of the film last night and couldn't resist).
I'm on Nescafe Azera decaf as my work go to...
At home I'm dabbling with decaf beans - Square Mile Decaf Espresso is very good actually.
Lavazza Decaf and an aero press, fast enough !)
If I want coffee and to sleep at night then after about 3pm it has to be decaffeinated. Aeropress and Aldi's decaff works for me.
Azera Decaf here too - it's the only one that's half decent.
OH drinks Clipper Fairtrade Organic Decaf from Sainsbury's, I stick to tea.
I do often wonder when people question the point of decaf, coffee that has been decaffeinated using a water process tastes 99% as good as caffeinated.
Surely you don't just drink coffee for the caffeine, if you do why not just take a couple of proplus? If you drink for the flavour then stop swinging your massive knackers around.
I've not seen Azera decaff
I drink Kenco Millicano almost entirely at home. Caff in the mornings, decaf in the evenings, I like it...!
Starbucks Via is also pretty good but it's pricey
I have an aeropress or cafetiere to make up real coffee but usually I CBA
It all tastes pretty lousy. The Nescafe alta rica decaff i found to be the best of a bad bunch.
The trick I've learned though is to stop pretending it's coffee. I actually find instant caffeinated hot beverage entirely inoffensive, enjoyable even, on it's own merit but thinking of it as coffee just makes it disappointing for not being coffee.
Decaff coffee? Alcohol free beer? This place has really gone to the dogs. I remember when the EDL threads on a Friday were a good reference point for new beverages. Shame on you all!
The l'Or stuff is Ok, but overpriced. You need to get in when the price is reduced, as it often is.
