I like the taste of coffee, never put milk in it but don't need the caffeine hit throughout the day so can anyone recommend a decaf coffee pod they've tried and found to be good?
I buy the generic Amazon decaf aluminum pods for my machine at work. Best value I can find and taste ok to me. Because they are aluminum I can clean them out and recycle the pods.
These guys are local to me if you want to support a small business!

I thought they were very good, pods are compostable too

Might be a good listen for pod users. Pros and cons of compostibles and if it's really worth it using current tech and composting facilities. Also a (to me) surprising stat about the relatively low percentage of the overall carbon footprint the pod is to the total coffee experience. The growing of the coffee makes up the bulk of the impact. I've always been a bit of a pious anti pod type and it put me in my place a bit.

there are a fair few of those on here!! Will give the show a listen, ta, although I have moved on from pods now myself.
Re. compostability - yes I'm aware some "compostable" items aren't really as they require temps much higher than you can get at home. The ones I linked to above, might be home-compostable - they did feel quite papery - but I've emailed them to clarify!
Just had a quick google & these ones definitely are (or so they claim!!):
Grind House Decaff also good (and compostable), and you can buy them in a box of 100 if so minded. Also often on offer/Airtime rewards etc.
Are any of these pods compatible with the recently stw chat approved l'Or machine? Especially interested in the XXL pods. Thanks

I've not seen any aftermarket XXL pods. I think they're a bit of a gimmick tbh, the l'Or pricing has then at pretty much twice the price of their standard pods so they've no financial benefit. Slightly more convenient than using 2 standard pods I suppose if that matters to you.
Any of the standard Nespresso type pods will fit the l'Or machine.

Lidl do a Lungo pod which is about £2.70 for 20 - and tastes decent enough. Not XXL sized, but using two of them wouldn't break the bank.
That's not decaf though.

Get in quick - Caffè Nero bought them this week so could go either way shortly.
