On a similar line, I'll recommend the Teva (Re)Ember Mocs.. have lasted way longer than any 'normal' slippers I've tried.
Birkenstock Boston clogs from a catering website - chefs often use them as they are supportive and they are on their feet all day
Surely outdoor soles defeat the logic of slippers? Fox poo is not something you want on your carpet.
No soles mean you can slip into Crocs for outdoor trips.

I don't believe that brands have to do anything with quality when it comes to plain rubber slippers, so there you have it, go to the nearest market and search for rubber slippers, those will do.

I've got my first ever pair arriving today. Needed some grippy soles to avoid my bare feet slipping on the carpet and adding murder to my achilles tendonitis. Fairly essential given that we live in a rather up and down house.

Rab hut slippers are great in winter.
Gutted that Five Ten stopped making their slip on shoes that were "definitely not" slippers. Never had a pair of "not" slippers last 4 years of daily wear.
Yeah crocs.. Or lined crocs.
I just have regular ones I wear with socks so they don't get smelly.
Totally replaced my slippers.

TBH I’ve so far lived my life without the need for slippers (and a smoking jacket).
Always seemed the reserve of people with those white doilies on the sofas .

If you wear them outside they are outdoor shoes crocs are perfect.
If you wear them inside they are slippers and crocs are pretty decent but they meed to be a seperate pair to the outdoor ones. Also crocs lined or otherwise are shit of you are chasing the dog round the garden in he long wet grass.
Those Teva ones look pretty good.

I suffer with permanently cold feet, so reluctantly succumbed to slippers many years ago, George at Asda moccasin type jobbies are as good as owt as far as I’m concerned!
Why anyone would want to pay more than 15 quid, 20 tops for a pair is beyond me!
As several posts above, DiL moved me on from Skechers loafers to Crocs. She said I looked like a grandad and she wasn't planning on kids any time soon.

This! Ugly as sin, but lovely and warm and they'll handle a trip outside to put the bins out.

I went for some Birkenstocks due to my arthritic feet. They help! Far more comfortable than being barefoot.

After a few years of trial and error I've settled on... Thick slipper socks like heat holders paired with some too-big Aldi Croc-offs. The socks do the job of preventing cold when sat at desk WFHing and the crocs can quickly be slipped on for trips to bin etc.
I tried fur-lined crocs but they were too sweaty to have on all the time. As are most slippers in my case and then they just get smelly.
EDIT: To clarify, I'm 38 and a long way off my pension. At home is a place for being comfortable. Out in public is for giving the slightest of shits of what you look like.

Mine are knock off 'weird fish' or 'hot Tuna' branded, I can't remember exactly (I always get it mixed up) but they were only about £12.... Best £12 I've spent in a long time!
North Face Mules are the ones to get, I'm on my second pair (they last at least 2 years a pair). I can regulary be seen in Sainburys in them, as I often forget I'm wearing them. don't be fooled by the cheaper RABs, they aren't even close in terms of warmth, or comfort.
I’m wearing a pair of Croc-offs that I think I bought from one of the high street shoe retailers in town. The only problem is they’re a bit chilly sometimes, so I could do with some liners, or some lined fleecy ones, oh, and my patio gets a bit slippery when wet, being concrete paving slabs with a lot of mess in places from the bird feeders, and the foam structure is very slippery.
During the winter, I sometimes take the boot liners out of my Meindle Canadian boots, being wool felt and having a hard plastic sole they’re quite toasty, especially as I’ve put felt insoles in them.
After a quick search, there’s loads of fluffy fleece liners for Crocs around for about a fiver, so I feel an eBay session coming up.

Heat Holders slipper socks are way better than slippers. Why would you want to squeeze your feet into something AT HOME?
Aldi currently has furlined Croc-offs in the aisle of dreams for £5.99. Is there a better value way of ensuring the last of your dignity and self-respect seep out while keeping your tootsies toastie?
