The trailer lacks humour. And there is a worrying hint they are going to have a [i]"I just want to get back to the woman I love"[/i] AND/OR [i]"I seek revenge on the killers of Mary McGuffin my one true love"[/i] plotline, which would really suck.

I thought this was going to be about the old AdrenalinTrip game. 🙁
Saw the trailer in the cinema the other night, it's more obvious on the big screen that it's just not... quite... right. All the ingredients are there but the timing's a beat off. It kind of reminds me of a US sitcom with the canned laughter switched off, if you've ever seen that, suddenly you realise how gappy and false all the dialogue is.
Also, they'd redubbed the "I'm touching myself" line to something else and it kind of drove home how weird the voice with no facial movement is. It's a bit like with Bane in Batman but at least with him, you could tell who's talking, with Deadpool it feels really disconnected and voiceovery. And it just doesn't feel right, after all there's a mouth under that gimp mask, how is it not moving, or muffled? Reminds me of V For Vendetta too where you had all that dialogue from behind a mask but it was still connected.
I want it to be good. I've a feeling it's going to kind of suck.

And taking children to comic-based movies isn't compulsory, grown-ups are perfectly entitled to go see such movies without kids in tow.

Saw it tonight. Awesome. Upper 15 boundary and not for kids. A refreshing change from the xmen and marvel universe movies. 4th wall breaking works, weirdly.

A slightly dissenting view... I thought the 4th wall/wisecracking was a little overdone. Funny to start with but lost impact the longer it went on.
Not a bad film, perfectly entertaining but the best bits were in the eleven (maybe, I lost count) different trailers they released beforehand.
Zero plot, just a pure origin story. The second one might be better as they can bother with a story.
Best line - "Stewart or McAvoy?". And was that a derelict helicarrier for the big fight at the end?
Don't want to see the stupid film.....Ryan aint all that and Marvel is pants 🙁
