I'm after a new cordless drill for general household duties.
Last one I had was a Bosch which was fine but battery never held charge for long - then I dropped it and now it's fubar'd. Got a heavy duty drill for masonry etc.
Any recommendations/deals to be done at the mo?

Makita 10.8v is cheap and very good. They also do a 3/8" rattle gun and a torch which uses the same battery.

Anything half reasonable now will be li-ion and 'should' outlive the body...
That's been my thinking anyway - I've got a Bosch professional 18v with metal 2 speed gearbox

Btw the 10.8v rattle gun is probably the best tool I have bought. Genuinely one of those how did I manage before type deals. Perfect for motorbike stuff. You will need a 1/2" one for bigger car stuff
