So David Icke is banned from YouTube and Facebook now, guessing this was a big source of income for him. Like or think he's a mad man should he get a platform to voice his opinion? I've seen a lot more controversial views on the internet than his !

I’ve now looked at David Icke and he seems like an absolute nutter who spouts utter shite and appears to be disguising his mullet in a lot of pictures. Not sure I agree with banning him though, where do you stop? I don’t like what he has to say, but I believe he should have a right to say it. Better having people like him in plain sight rather than hidden away. At least you can poke holes in his idiotic ramblings when you can see them.

The thing is, people like Icke, Alan Jones in the states who runs Info Wars, and others, do influence people, who then are encouraged to do damaging things, like the ongoing destruction of cellular network stations, based on a false premise spread by the likes of Icke, which has also led to physical attacks on engineers, and risks breakdowns in communications for emergency personnel just when they’re under extraordinary pressure.
Then there’s the whole anti-vaccine bullshit being propagated by lunatics like Icke...

While Fb, Twitter, Instagram etc should be cutting people like Icke and (Alex, not Alan) Jones off, they usually still find an audience, who will happily spread their toxic views around. Jones was cut off from a network that usually is quite blasé about whatever gets posted, but even he proved to toxic for them - Icke should be treated the same, he’s dangerous because he really believes, he’s not just a troll.

I had a mate at uni who was well into this stuff 10-15 years ago. We used to have a copy of one of his live shows that we'd watch sometimes after a night out. From memory it was about 6 hours long. Absolutely fascinating stuff and Icke is an enthusiastic and compelling speaker. Completely batshit of course, but fascinating nonetheless. And he did get some of the stuff about well known people being alleged paedos right in a sort of broken-clock-twice-a-day type of way.
