As we like to disagree about comedy.....
Used to love his material back in the day, curious to see how it's aged, it doesn't seem to get shown that often, which I seem to recall was a term of his will?
Dry as owt!
Still stands up today!
Recordy boxed now armed.
Remember being allowed to stay up for Dave Allen as kid if I was good when I was probably to young to understand some of the jokes.

Pretty sure the first topless woman I saw on TV was a Dave Allen sketch involving 2 elderly Victorian men having a duel to the death by seeing which one had a heart attack first as a woman stripped.
I'm guessing that won't be shown in the 21st century.
I wonder if they'll include the one about the catholic boy, the protestant boy and the Jewish boy talking about Christmas.
Last request before death by firing squad was a reoccurring Dave Allen gag, this is the one that I always remember
Goodnight and may your god go with you.
Still great 40 years on

Guess again!
Still great 40 years on
I'm not sure it is.
Although I did like "did you fart?"
My mother wouldn't let us watch it when we were kids, strict catholic upbringing etc.
My dad's laughing his head off tonight.
I like the sardine factory workers on the way to work and not last to the cemetery sketches.
From what I remember don’t think there’s much to date it, though thanks to the PSA I’ll have a look on iplayer.
My Dad wasn’t a major music fan, he had loads of comedy records and introduced me to the Goons, Python, Pete & Dud, Derek & Clive.
I was lucky that his sense of humour meant I was one of the few at school that managed to watch the Young Ones.
Managed to miss my own PSA so will catch it on iPlayer later.
It missed my favourite sketch.
