Our little one 11 year old asking to go to this ... I've not seen the previous ones so (a) is it suitable for 11 yo going with me despite it's 12A certificate (b) would it be enjoyable or too dark/complicated/long? He's not seen the earlier ones either.

I'd imagine that you wouldnt get the most out of it if you hadn't seen the other 2

Personaly i wouldnt take my daughter to see it.

I went to see the original 1989? batman film when i was 11 (on of the first 12 certificates) - current 12's are 100's more violent.

Having said that there was a 6yr old and a three month old baby in the US shooting in Denver.

Depends on the kid. Have not let my kids see previous one on DVD - would do their heads in but they are quite girly. I'd say if in doubt, probably not...
