I know it's a bit of a long shot but I thought I would ask on here!
Following from the smart TRV thread, I got myself some of the smart TRV heads from Screwfix.
Now looking online, it seems a very simple task to remove the old TRV head and replace with the smart one.
Not with the Danfoss TRV's I have.
When I unscrew the locking ring, the head comes up about an inch and will go no further.
The Danfoss documents are very poor and there are no youtube videos on the Danfoss valves.
It does seem that when installing you just push the head on top of the valve and it clips into place. I tried pulling it but was worried causing a leak.
I can't see any grub screw or similar.
Does anyone have any advice or useful links?
Thanks.
Have you got a link to your old ones ??
Mine are fat white plastic ones with a grey collar, you just have to unscrew the collar and pull hard !
Sorry about the crap picture.
Sounds like you have the same one, so it is a matter of some force!

Do you lift by holding the locking ring? IIRC, if you lift with the head the locking ring drops back onto the prongs which form the screw ring, so 'closing' it for the last few mm.
Pretty sure that was what I had to do with some when we moved in and changed rads/TRV/plumbing.
Those are current and good Trv's. To remove them you need to open the valve by turning the head anti clockwise then hold the top turning bit and the top part of the lower and unscrew the bottom white section anti clockwise, job done!
Did you get them off in the end ?

No I didn't.
When I tried again I couldn't even get the locking ring off!
