Anyone know a decent contractor to survey for damp / rot concerns who would cover North London? Need to get someone out to a house we're interested in ASAP. Any suggestions most welcome!
Kenwood plc cover that area.....but can I recommend that you [b]don't[/b] go near them.
My parents had some work done by them last year, and while the damp side of things seems to be OK, the rest of the work 'making good' was awful and trying to get them to resolve it was like something out of 'how to appear on Watchdog'.
I wouldn't touch them again with your (damp) bargepole.

Any other suggestions - the only bit we really need is input pre-contract on issues, and possible remedial work as part of a refurb, so as long as they know what they're talking about for now and don't rip us off that's the main thing!
