I need damp proofing doing in my living room, will be two walls to re plaster too, walls are about 4m long both ways. What kind of price would you expect to pay? Getting a few quotes and don't want to get ripped off.

Before you do anything, look into why you have damp in the first place otherwise you will spend money fixing the issue but it will come straight back at you. (Your local friendly DPC specialist will often just want to sell you their solution without advising on causes).
Common causes are leaky gutters, bridged cavities, insufficient drainage etc etc etc.
My 2p's worth would be pay the £150/200 and get an independent damp surveyor in to diagnose the problem properly first.
I had three different quotes when i needed work done , all with different (ish) causes and remedy's ..
Got an independent surveyor in who mapped out what it was and how to remedy and then found a contractor willing to go off his report
It may be you have a genuine case of damp proof course failure but pretty unlikely, if you don't have a damp proof course there's a good chance you don't need one.
I've just bought a property where the walls were wet to the touch, i resisted the surveyors advice to get a damp specialist in and did a bit of investigation, it appears the previous owner had a leak at the back of the washing machine which is now sorted and everything after just two weeks is now nearly dry.
Apparently the walls have to be reasonably dry for a chemical dpc to work, sounds like snake oil to me.
