Just learned two thing about him

1) he’s 62! Doesn’t look close to that.

2) it’s fairly to say he was 62 as he’s sadly died.

No age at all.

Some of that makes sense

He certainly brought a jolly atmosphere to a rather dull programme.

Rest well.

Wasn't he depressed a while back, I'm sure I remember seeing some pictures where he looked pretty ill.

He did quite a lot really, always remember him from this.

Surely this must be true now!!

Who’s Kieth Richards?

Keith Richards dyslexic brother.

He once nearly choked to death on his own vimto.

I wondered about the Trainspotting bit as well - turns out he was a game show host in one of the cold turkey sequences where he asked Renton's parents questions about HIV/Aids.

62 is just too bloody young for anyone to go regardless of whether you "liked" them or not.

Coffee-keyboard job. Excellent sir!

Top flounce that other bloke. Not sure I'll particularly miss Dale but he definitely carved a niche in jolly but mediocre TV.

I think I was so blinded by his youthful good looks I never even spotted the spelling mistake!

[scouse accent]exactly[/scouse accent]

The star of pretty much every piece of dross TV I hated through my 20s and 30s and the sight of his face generated a pavlovian response in me to find the remote but seemed to be a perfectly affable bloke all the same.

The fake wedding to Nell McAndrew documentary he did on the BBC 15 years ago was genius.

He looked bloody good for his age, but way too young to go! RIP.

I remember when it first started a neighbour tried the trolley dash in the local ASDA shouting SUPERMARKET SWEEP, sadly security didnt feel the same way she was arrested and charged with shoplifting, and banned for ASDA for life.

Sadly a very talented  comedian leaves the stage forever.

He always seemed to be jolly on whatever dross he was presenting and seemed to enjoy entertaining so for that may he sleep well. No age really, rest in peace.

**Went to see Sleeper at the Riverside in Newcastle back in the 90s. Louise, wearing a vest-top was literally steaming - extremely memorable!

RIP Dale
