You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi has anyone been up to Dalby in the last few weeks (since the storm)? I've been up a couple of times and I know it's open from the bomb holes on but I'm curious if any of the black or earlier good red bits like Medusa's are rideable yet. Apparently the forestry contractors are being dicks about actually clearing anything so it's slow progress getting stuff sorted.
Cheers
Stopped off for a drink at the Fox And Rabbit this afternoon and noticed a sign saying Dalby was open on the road from Pickering. Looked like a pretty amateur sign, white with red lettering. However, I only read the top few words so it may have qualified what was actually open, sorry I can't help further. Sign was on the corner opposite to pub on the A169 Pickering, junct with the road to Dalby/Thornton Dale
I saw a video on their instagram yesterday explain why it was taking so long and the challenges involved.
Staus update on their website here
Looks like all the blue and only the Riggs & Dales Trail (Red - Sections 26-38) are open at the moment.
Singletraction were there yesterday doing more work - still looks like a fair few trees down but their updated sounded positive everything would be clear soon.
I've been up there almost weekly since Darragh and its pretty easy to link stuff up to avoid closed sections by using bits of fire-road, off-piste, the old Pace route and open Blue/Reds if you wanted a longer ride.
Yep, good post (and excellent graft) from Singletraction last night.
Lots still closed but lots and lots can still be ridden and pieced together, official stuff and 'less official'.
