If it’s the new film the whole thing is  mistake.

Forgot to add Cat’s Eyes were first used pre-war.

If "cats eyes" were firsy used pre war, then I stand corrected, I thought they were fairly recent, 60's or there abouts.

Invented in 1934 and (according to Wikipedia) widely in use by the time of the second world war.

They are now called reflective road studs, cats eyes is an offensive term.

Correct. Percy tested them just down the road.

It's worth noting that not all roads were sealed at that time. My mum , if she'd been in detention and missed the school bus, would have to walk the 12 miles home along what is now the A590 which was gravel in the mid 1930s.

My mum used to work in a Patent office during the 30's and 40's and she remembered typing up the patent for Cats Eyes.
