We have this little Roberts Dab radio and this morning while listening it just went quiet.
The display is still on and it says the station, and the current song even but no sound.
Coming home today I tried it again and still nothing.
The display still looks normal, station and song but after factory resetting it a couple of times it'll auto tune and then in brackets it says (NO DLS)
I've plugged headphones in and I can hear music very, very faintly even with the volume at 11.
I've also tried playing off my phone through the Aux input and nothing.
Anyone have any ideas what it might be?
These Roberts radio's ain't cheap and only have a 12 month warranty.

YES!
I've finally invented a subject that literally nobody on stw knows anything about!
Quite proud of that 😊
Bump to be sure mind.
What model is that ? Is there a factory reset on that model - typically it is:
1 Press and hold down the Info button for 2 seconds
2. Rotate the Tuning control until the display shows "Factory reset",then press and release the Tuning control.
3. If you wish to perform the reset operation, press and release the Tuning control one more time. A full reset of your radio will be performed.
All presets and station lists will be erased.4. After a system reset a scan of the DAB band will be performed
More likely its a blown internal amp.
Before taking anything apart I would also try a different (but the same!) power supply.
DLS is dynamic label segment - the scrolling text giving info about the programme.
That's not broadcast all the time. When you switch some of mine on it flashes that for a few seconds until either the data is rebroadcast or the data trickles in (cant remember which it is)
Does this help?
Cheers. That went beyond my electrical expertise almost straight away 😂
I see Roberts do a repair service. Expensive mind. About half the cost of the radio new.
Shame there isn't too many folks fixing things these days.
Thanks all. 👍
