I need to purchase 3 large pies for our wedding.

I'd like to get three hot water pastry pies

-pork pie
-chicken pie (no pork product)
- vegetarian filling (looking for inspiration)

any ideas where to go? Ideally hampshire based, but mail order, or a bit further afield would do.

at the moment i'm struggling to know who to ask...

they even do ashet pies for heretics like perchypanther and stoner and they're not even ashamed about it.

My old Karate friend has a butchers in Shifnal and I am sure he would do mail order. The pies he stocks are superb and I had a few at my wedding. If you speak to him then they can get them in various sizes and types.

How in the hell do you make a lasagne pie? I mean, pastry _and_ pasta? How does that work?

Where's Binners? I need him to explain this to me.

It's a meat and potato without the meat basically. Potato, onion, butter and suchlike. Much nicer than it sounds.

Not usually. No reason why you couldn't though. Some deviants put cheese in.

Black pepper. You can top it with a bit of pea wet if you like.

almost nothing sounds as revolting as "pea wet".

A lancashire delicacy.

It's the pale green / yellow water off the top of the mushy peas. Invented when Lancashire was poor and couldn't afford to buy peas but still needed vitamins!!

You'll be wanting Toppings Pies, I'm sure they can come up with some ideas for your veggie option. Really good pies, I have (a smaller) one most weeks, and they have been doing party pies for years. Give them a ring.
