Today on that there twitter, I responded to a fab leeds retailer on some random post (@chb_leeds) explaining the term “custard” which I nicked from someone years ago (Pratchett, Adams, some random IT guy in a magazine with 8 CD’s on the front?).
A custard is basically a cross between a customer and … erm a barsteward.
Anyone know the original source as I hate not giving credit!
Now I think about it I suspect it was some gut who wrote the end of mag opinion piece in computer shopper or somewhere.
STW wisdom must know?

Not the vanilla-based assistance I was expecting!

Turns out that custard has many slang interpretations:

Powdered or pre made? That is the question.

I was really disappointed in this thread.

"Finally," I thought, "a thread to which I can finally contribute the sum total of my hard-earned pudding knowledge gleaned over decades of being a fat barsteward", only to have that hope dashed to bits before me.

For shame.

I'm fairly confident it was neither TP nor DNA, I'd have likely recognised it if it were.
