Need a tumble dryer so went to AO and found one but they couldn't deliver until Jan 8th so went to Currys and found the nearest equivalent with delivery on Dec 31st. Result.
Selected delivery 7am-7pm as it was only £10.
Was shown my home address - I have used Currys once before - and selected that for delivery.
Get to the checkout and the £10 has magically become £30 but I hit Pay Now anyway as it is the only place I can get one delivered tomorrow and the washing isn't drying in the frosty weather.
Email confirmation
The tumble dryer will be delivered to a friends address who we had the previous item we bought delivered to and also it won't be delivered until Jan 5th but we are still charged for the next day delivery.
Try to change the delivery address. You cannot change a delivery address. You must cancel and re-order.
Try to cancel the order. Fill in this form and we will assess if your order can be cancelled and if there is any refund due. This will take 10-14 days.
Try to speak to someone but can only find a webchat. Turns out to be a pretty dumb 'bot that just sends me to the cancellation form.
I start the re-order process trying to spot where it changed the delivery address. It shows my home address for delivery with the option to edit this if it is wrong. It is correct so I click next. I carry on until the final confirmation where it shows my home address in big letters and then in a smaller box it shows the other address for delivery! I go back and forwards trying to find any reference to this other address but there is none until I edit my correct address when next to the correct address that it displays is a second delivery address!
I have placed a second order for the tumble dryer, now being delivered to my address on 2nd Jan and just have to hope the original order doesn't get delivered. Also have 2 x the £££ sitting with Currys at the moment.
poor rant - needs more CAPS and !!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have Twitter tweet them @teamknowhow they’re are very helpful and responsive.
Okay, I have installed twitter. Now how do I send them a message and who can see what I send as I don't really want to tweet the details to the world?
Currys PC World are crap : No shit Sherlock !
I have even less sympathy for Currys rants than PX! It’s not like they even sucker you in with low prices... why do people use them?!
Click the envelope sign then the envelope with the + on it too search for teamknowhow and send them a message.
U ok hun?
Hugz.

Only place promising next day delivery. They lied.
My tumble drier was delivered dented, eventually replaced with one with a smaller dent. used it and it damaged clothes as door wasn't flush and clothes caught in it. put in a claim, which was totally ignored. eventually they picked up and refunded. Never touching them again.
Twitted them. Let's see how they respond.

They price match, they often have stock others don’t and delivery is usual prompt. I also use AO for similar reasons and John Lewis.
Do you need the e-mail address for the CEO?
Last thing I ordered from them for home delivery was delivered to my local Matalan. They. Are. Shit.
Always used AO before. Always perfect service except one item that was going to be a day late. They phoned me and the person apologised, wiped the delivery charge and gave me the delivery slot I wanted for the next day. A thoroughly nice chap to talk too, even though he sounded a bit northern, and made even the inconvenience seem like a nice experience.
Thought it was common knowledge that, even if Currys was the last place on earth to buy from, don't.

Aside AO, how about John Lewis? We've always had good service from them with white goods
Never had a problem with Currys. Guys from AO broke two kitchen floor tiles when delivering a cooker though. Things sometimes go wrong, even more so under current circumstances.

xD xD xD
Glad you sorted even better by a friendly northerner.
And Currys have responded on ****ter so the first order to the wrong address is being cancelled.
And someone has bought one of my paintings.
This afternoon is a definite improvement on this morning. Off for a sauna with a handful of Duvals to celebrate
Win win win.

Local heating company couldn’t be arsed to respond to a request for a quote, British Gas, who I have a service contract with, sent an engineer round to check everything and give me a quote, which I got a £580 discount on because of the service contract, plus, when my old boiler failed, I had an engineer arrive promptly because I’d lost heating and hot water. After accepting the quote they gave me an installation date in the week leading up to Christmas, I had the stuff delivered on the Monday, the engineer turned up first thing Tuesday morning and was finished by teatime Wednesday. Cleaned up afterwards and I couldn’t be happier with the installation.

Given his record, has anyone checked to see if he is OK?
Currys just sent me a £20 voucher cos I complained (well, filled in a survey, not that i remember doing it) about how crap their service was.
I always go to the local independant for this type of stuff, they have stock in the same town and you can take it away then and there.
Currys let me reserve a laptop which turned out to be the display model, which they couldn't sell. Why?
I will never ever touch them with a bargepole ever again.
All this slagging off of Currys eh?
To redress the balance we've had a dishwasher, TV, sound bar, laptop and three tablets off them in the last 12 months. No problem at all with any, although I did have to wait 5 minutes in the car for the click and collect on one of the tablets (the bastids).
Currys let me reserve a laptop which turned out to be the display model, which they couldn’t sell. Why?
Because it wasn’t a brand new model and they only sell ex-display when they on done with them.
