Off to see on of the Beener twins this weekend. She is a student in Manchester. She wants to have a curry in curry mile. Can any locals recommend a good curry house for us please?

Is Abdul's still there? If so, don't go there. 🙂

Shere Khan always used to be the top end of decentness (and price), but I expect it has been surpassed by now.

West Didsbury is much nicer for curries IMO (bus number 111 or 43 and a walk down Lapwing Lane). Also Third Eye in Didsbury village is excellent (bus number 42).

If it has to be the mile then Mughli (#16) or Ziya (#21)? Hopefully better than the usual "red or yellow?" offerings down there.

If you can travel through the middle of town then Akbars, up by the MOSI. Massive Naan on a tree!
