You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've had a few pairs of StepOne pants which are ok - I quick like the "supportive" fit when I'm on my bike or skiing etc but do find them a bit snug day to day wear. I had to size up and prefer the longer leg ones but I still find they shrink in the wash (I know you're supposed to wash them cold but they just get chucked in with everything else at 30 degrees).
What else is the STWer about town wearing that I should have a look at?
I wear a D&G gold lame thong. Doesn't everyone ?
Step One - the longer leg ones.
Sounds stupid, but soooo much better than anything else I've tried before.
But, you've tried them...
Become a fan of Under Armour boxers, comfy, wicking, seem quite durable
M&S boxers
Not for everyday use but these one size up:

Btw I don't understand how manmade fibre is "shrinking" at 30°. The decathlon gear won't.
Had Oddballs on a sub for a few months, prior to that On That Ass. About a tenner a pair.
Both good, also a tendency to shrink a bit and not quite as long in the leg as I'd like but perfectly serviceable. Have also tried Step One but while the fabric feels very slinky, I prefer the cotton rich of Oddballs/OTA.
Now have 15 pairs or so, have stopped sub as with double wearing that gives a month of supply before needing to do a wash.

+1 to those. Had my current ones for a while and could do with replacing my daily 'Charged Cotton' ones. I prefer their UA tech fabric for active wear, i.e. on the bike, though.
Just received some bamboo boxers from Lazy Panda to try as they're half the price of the Under Armour ones. Yet to try though.
Icebreaker Merino Anatomica (when they're on sale).
Spendy, but comfortable, and they pack down into about 1/3 of the space of normal boxers, and dry really quickly if you're on holiday.
My wife does dress making as a hobby. I have tailored boxers.
Day to day, bog standard Next/F&F/wherever is cheap cotton trunks. £12 ish for a 3 pack.
Running or walking longer distances, Decathlon running boxers. Dirt cheap, not sweaty and keep everything where it should be.
Cycling, none. That what you wear padded cycling shorts for.
Surprised that nobody's going commando, but it may be too cold?

Say what now? 🤮
I do like the OTA boxers (I've got 3 pairs) but a tenner each is too rich for my blood. I've also got some F&F in a slinky material that are bloody lovely when it gets warm out.
I've been inundated with ads from www.klizin.com for bamboo boxers, which at £30 for 10 pairs appeals to the Yorkshireman in me, but I've got no idea if they are actually any good.
M&S.
M&S Autograph microfibre trunks. Not cheap but excellent.
15 pairs = 60 days surely?
Forwards, backwards, inside-out forwards, inside-outbackwards.
And then with 56 days respite before they come up on the rotation again, you barely need to wash them as they will have dried by then and you'll just need to dust them off.
That's OK for some but these have a sort of cradling pouch for the chaps, and while it's long it's not long enough to wrap round and then cradle when the pouch is at the rear. Plus, if it was I'd be forever sitting on it.
Saxx look quite good but then

Talk me through the logistics of ending up in just your boxers, trainers AND socks. That says just taken jeans off but how, with socks and shoes on (and you know the model is a skinny jean wearer)
Or - just slip some shoes on to pop this out to the recycling bin, but why socks as well. And who needs to do warmups to do the recycling.
For that reason - I'm out.
(weirdly, whenever I accidentally stumble across pics online of women in their pants, they too always seem to have then gone and put their shoes back on too)
Blimey! Maybe I need to up my underwear game.
https://just-wears.com/ Absolutely brilliant. A million times better than the awful M&S ones I paid good money for in an emergency (travelling for work, forgot to pack) over the summer.
It's worth adding JW is a UK based start-up.
Kula. Love them.
Have a stocked up when the sales & offers are on.
Which they are. Right now!!
https://www.kulaunderwear.com/collections/kula-underwear

You know you’re old, when you’ve never had a pant subscription in your life.
Step one longer leg for me. Perfect.
I appear to have stumbled into an MBR article from the late 90s when they were trying to be a mix of Men's Health and MBi. Wasn't this the one after the underarm deodorant review?

£3 a pair is still a bit rich for rayon, even though you can easily sell them for 10 times that if you call rayon 'bamboo', especially if you have a nice cardboard swing ticket with a story on it.

I have underpants that are older than my eldest child. I just wait for birthdays and Christmas, then wear whatever it is I get as gifts until Mrs F throws them away in disgust at the general condition of them. How does an underpants subscription even work? What are they, single use paper like those suits that forensics teams wear?
I don't like feeling 'strapped in' if you know what I mean, so 'trunks' are out... so M&S cotton boxers or 'commando' at the moment.
When it's cold I just wear merino long johns under my jeans, lol!
Long John's , £3.00 a pair from Stockton Market.Real chick magnets.
M&S trunks
I have thought about trying some Uniqlo ones, but they’re about the same price, and I’d have get them posted, whereas I just pop into M&S if I happen to be in Bath and stock up on a 3-pack of trunks and a 5-pack of black cotton-rich sports socks.
Actually, the Christmas Market is on now, so there’s my opportunity. Plus pie, mash and a couple of pints in The Raven - that’s my idea of a shopping trip. Plus travel on the bus is free. 😁
Basque or spanx - not both together.
