This parish recommended the Anker Soundcore Liberty Pro about 2 years ago. Fabulous sound, faultless connectivity and rock solid in the ear for off-road riding.
For £50 they have been outstanding. But sadly they are no more. What are people using now?
-bass v.important
-in ear solid fit
-not too spendy
What hi-fi suggest some Cambridge Audio ones but I like the extra confidence that the little Wong clips offer.

*Wing clips. With apologies
Just got them, so can only report on one run (positively) but good price
I had the Melomania 1 plus didn't really fit my ears well or feel secure. The first pair I had wouldn't charge, had them replaced under warranty and the replacements kept losing their Bluetooth connection.
2nd pair were replaced with Melomania Touch that fit really well and have worked faultlessly.
I really like my bone conduction things* for running / walking / road riding (and possibly MTB though I don't listen to music).
But they probably fail on all three of your criteria so please feel free to ignore this post.
*Aftershokz, think they're just called Shokz now.
Got some of these recently
£50. They is plenty loud enough and dead bassy 🤛
Pair easily, good battery life.
Suspect there's some marketing bs around the price, they're apparently on offer, they were £50 when I got them a whole ago.
I too like the bone conduction type headphones for doing stuff outdoors. Definitely secure and I am on 2nd pair of Z8 something or others from Amazon for around £40. after the 1st pair died after 3 years I thought about upgrading to Shook but couldn't see the benefit for me.
Thanks all will have a look
My plantronics sport jobbies are still going after about ten years. Stay in perfectly, great for commuting as I can still hear what’s going on.
Probably better-sounding earbuds out there for under £50, but these are almost half that: JLab Go Air Sport. I paid £20 but would be happy if I paid the £30 they currently are. Very secure in the ear, sound alright, huge battery life.
Beats Fit Pro. The only headphones that have outlasted the one-year warranty for me. Normally the batteries go or my sweaty ears kill them early. Never come loose, battery lasts ages, and the noise-cancelling is reasonably good too.
If you don't have an iPhone don't update the firmware via the Android app as it nukes the noice cancelling after Apple nicked someone else's propriety technology for the H1 chip.
I use Jabra Active Elite buds for running. They don't fall out, sound pretty good and have been reliable. Not tried them for riding though.
The newer version seems to be on offer now:

Jabra here as well. Pick a set in your price range.

Seconded. OMG these are amazing. I avoided them for a long time, but they've been worth every penny.
Thanks for the advices all. Much appreciated. The quality you get now (if you are happy with bass heavy non-audiophile) is quite staggering. #progress
+1 Jabra Active Elite 4
Had mine for 4-5 months. Quality is good, but can't comment on how you might find the bass because I've yet to find any decent bass in sub £200 buds.
I just have some Anker Sound buds slim. Cost maybe £20 at most. Sound quality is acceptable when on a bike. They've lasted several years. I did get a replacement when one pair sounded like I was underwater after a properly heavy deluge of rain. Current pair have been through countless rain storms. Occasionally tempted to upgrade, just for the sake of nice to haves, but it's difficult to justify any reason to.
Have Jabra active 75t or something or other waterproof ones too. Find the fit ok but would prefer Greater security. they fall out on bike so stopped using them for that and also occasionally around the house but I have non headphone friendly ears - original wired Sony teardrop and apple ones never stayed in at all.
I bought the anker £50 buds off amazon that are noise cancelling and I’ve been really impressed by them! Great bass and for work calls/music they’re great and when paired to my phone the NC is pretty good!
