I used J2EE many, many years ago, but it was back in the day when you followed the MVC pattern and used servlets, jsp and struts.
From what I can gather doing the view on the server side is no longer the done thing and as as result your web server serves up static web pages and you use angularjs or jquery on the cliehnt to make data binding calls to your servlets using JSON?
Just want to make sure I don't go learning stuff that is no longer in fashion.
