You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Evening,
I'm going to Brazil on Saturday, I have some spare euros, Korean won, Thai baht and Brasilian reais from previous trips. Can I spend any currency in an airport and maybe even mix it up? I'm more interested in getting rid of the Asian currency.
Suppose it depends on the retailer, but can't imagine there'd be much demand for won & baht in Brazil.
You can almost certainly spend it in an airport.
It will almost certainly be the worst exchange rate you could ever see.

Agreed. And, when you say, "Can I pay £3 in sterling and then mix the rest up with all sorts of silly currencies?" the staff will really, really love you....!
Far better to dump it in the BA charity bin (If you're travelling with BA, that is!) if it's a small amount, or change it properly when you're not at an airport.
Sometimes, big airports normally US$, Euro and £ plus local at a terrible exchange rate and change in whatever is local. Mixing will be a no and just get you dirty looks from the rest of the queue. Is it anything worth taking?
cheers
