I've gone and lost the socket spanner thingy for fitting my roof bars. The long one that pokes down inside the ends of the bar to tighten it up.

Anyone know what size it should be, so I can buy a new one? Can't seem to find this out.

These are the bars, if it makes a difference: https://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?CR_5667_AIROT-128

I've got Cruz bars, moved them between 3 cars now with different fitting kits... and I'm struggling to think what spanner you mean! Pretty sure everything on mine does up with a normal spanner or socket... 10mm IIRC. The bolt heads should be square and held by the tracks, no need to tighten anything up by poking down inside the bars. Or is my Alzheimer's playing up???

I ve got one I assume is the same, Cruz straight steel bars. Funnily enough I couldn't find it today bit did later, it's a long shaft Allen key. Doubt anything else would work if a small car as the bolts are recessed c 2 inches.

U can borrow it if anywhere near Lancaster.

I’ve got a set of Cruz bars and they take a 10mm socket

Thanks all

It's this one:

Page 2, fig. 1, marked D
For tightening them up or adjusting the spacing or something, not actually fitting as such.
Thought it was larger than 10mm but will try that!

Im pretty sure I used a 10mm Long Reach socket as I did not trust the flimsy looking pressed steel thingy.
