one of my many weaknesses I'm afraid. I have conservatively estimated an average of 8 packets a week 🙁

Cannae be good for me....

Unless that's 8 multipacks then that's a mild weakness. That's only a pack a day and 2 on a Saturday!

Probably 6 individual packs a week, plus a dad sized share of any big bags of Doritos or whatever the family get through.

Yes, I'm overweight.

2 smaller bags (multipack size) a week I guess.
Biscuits are much more of a nemesis.
Gradually succeeding in replacing with healthier snacks, but slow going.
With 248hrs on the bike so far this year and a BMI of 19 i'm generally not stressing too much about it.

1 in every pack lunch, sometimes one on a weekend. I would not consider 8 a week a huge amount. It depends on the rest of your diet and lifestyle

The only time I eat crisps is when I order a sandwich and they put a few on the side of the plate. I don't dislike them but i prefer biscuits and scones. 8 packs a week is not excessive if the rest of your diet is ok.

Two small multipack bags of minicheddars a day mon-Thurs so 8 a week.
I could eat lots more but I try to resist.
Physical, active job & currently riding 100 miles a week so not too worried.

not trying, or needing, to lose weight, just conscious of wanting to clean up the diet a little so have been having a look at things. Not much of a sweet tooth, so not many biscuits !

About 15 packets, the aren't bad if you have a plan to use the energy are they?

Four or five packs of mini cheddars a week which I'm hoping is a healthier alternative. Hopefully.

Probably 7-10 a week. That's not the whole picture though; I have been known to binge eat a whole family size pack of red doritos in the course of about half an hour. With that sudden sugar/salt hit its a wonder I'm not [s]dead[/s] diabetic...

I'm not proud.

10. Buy a few multipacks of kettle crisps.
20. Eat a few multipacks of kettle crisps.
30. Don't buy multipacks of kettle crisps.
40. Go to 10.

(So about 40 a month)

Depends if I go to the pub or not. If so, 2 or 3, if not then 0. A bag of cheese and onion with a beer is a treat.

One packet a week, maybe two. Depends if I end up having to buy lunch when working.

I'm more a nuts man 😆

Part of my attempt to lose the belly I've been building over the past few years has seen me cut out bread wherever possible and also replace crisps, which I bloody love, with 'penance crisps' as I call them, or vegetable crisps as the wife (and Waitrose) refer to them.
They are nowhere near as nice so I've successfully reduced a 10-20 pack per week habit to maybe 1 or 2.
Now when I do sneak a packet of sweet chilli, or decent s&v it's like an alky finding a bottle of vodka.

Rarely buy crisps as the general public only like bland flavours so that's all a lot of shops sell, especially smaller ones.

I love crisps, so only buy them at weekends. I'd be enormous if I ate as many as I liked.

Love them, but I won't buy them anymore as I just eat the whole lot in one go.

Those big packs, like Sensations or Kettle or like well, the Kettle copies that are all better than Kettle now, you know - they sell them for £1! I can't buy them cos I'll eat the whole bag in one go.

Minimum of 5 bags a week. More likely 10+ though.

My metabolism is letting me get away with it far.

One day I'll be fat, until that day I'll trough on!

Multi-pack = one serving, divided up into stupid bags

Family size = one serving in a proper bag

One regular size bag of crisps = just a tease.

TBH, any junk food I buy is one serving; I will eat it until I feel sick. I can't have it in the house as I have no self control.

Often I will go to the shop just to buy snacks for that evening. Storing them overnight is just not possible.

Oh and in a bad week I have been known to eat 4 or maybe 5 family sized bags of crisps.

My skinny genetics are not going to last forever................

Potatoes are bad for you now?

Evidently high GI so insulin spikes and one of the reasons we are a nation of type2 diabetics.
The fat and salt in crisps can't be helping.

3-4 family size jobs
Maybe a box of Pringles (yes, yes, I know, but they're in the same league)
5-10 multipack ones

Probably 6 a week for me. Normally the lighter type though (wotsits, quavers etc) so hopefully not too bad.

I ride 40 miles a day commuting though, so not the end of the world either, but I could do with losing a bit of weight, there's more obvious areas I can lose the calories from though. If I had a scrap of will power.

I never touch them..thought I do like them...those Pringles must have something added to make you never want to put them down! I can eat a full tube when I start and Doritos they are similar.

I think a treat is good like a curry at the curry house all the trimmings and poppadums, as at least with something like that you get some good factors, protein fresh herbs, spices, vegetables. Even fish and chips from the chippy....a bar of good chocolate have some good aspects. I can't seen any good things with crisps just devoid of anything other than some cheap fats and carb laden. A totally pointless treat. Id say probably one of the worst things for loosing weight too. I'd class them in the fizzy drink category ie don't touch with a barge pole when walking around the super market

when you say crisps, do you mean artisan hand cut potato chips made from a rare himalayan breed of potato, fried in ethically produced oil, and seasoned with rare seasonings from a sustainable source?

or do skips count?

About 2 big "sharing" bags a week on average. They are my weakness, especially during the summer with beer!

unfortunately I succumbed to a second packet today, albeit I had been for a 1.5k swim in the pool at lunchtime. 21% of my daily fat and 12% salt allowance tho (packet of McCoys) ......

More apples tomorrow methinks....

In an attempt to try and give up the habit I crushed a few cheese and onion crisps onto a large plaster and stuck it to my upper arm like a nicotine patch.

Needless to say it didn't work and I got into trouble with Mrs H when it came off and the bed got full of crushed crisps.
