I have been asked to carry out a Criminal Background Check.
Which I have no problem with, but I am outside of the UK.
Does anyone have any experience in dealing with a company to handle this?

In Spain I went to the local police and got a certificate of good behaviour.
As with anything like this get it wrong and whatever you need it for will take ages to get sorted. Explain to whoever needs it your situation and get some more information from them.
I'm in China, and it's now part of the Visa requirements for working permits.
Locally they won't say anything, just that, I need a background check.
You can do it by mail, I submitted one from Canada, just got my parents to print out the forms which I had already filled in, and they sent them with a cheque.
Nothing too complicated although having to dredge up all my previous addresses for the last 10 years took some time... 🙄
Are you sure it isn't code for "hand me some cash and I will make sure you pass the background check" ?

Disclosure Scotland will give you a basic one
International Child Protection Certificate from https://www.acro.police.uk
or similar.
In my experience disclosure scotland are fast, and have been accepted by several countries that I have needed to apply with.
However, some countries, if you are working with kids, require ICPC if you are from the UK.
