Meh, they ruined them when they downgraded the chocolate
Still love em'
Oh god, the memories! I got a 48 box through work for £4.80, I really don't think I could ever eat another one.
I haven't bought Cadbury stuff since Kraft bought them. I used to love Twirls too 🙁 Damn Americans, ruining everything...
Oh my god that looks amazing 🙂

This.
I am 100% a creme egghead, but recently they've mistaken my kindness for weakness, and are just taking the piss now.
Wife is allergic to spices. Creme Eggs now have paprika in them. Not a happy wife.
I once had a deep fried creme egg.
Just the once.
Kraft puke and snot eggs yuk.
I find that in the two bites it takes to eat one, I can't even notice the change in chocolate.
See how many of those you can eat in one sitting and post the results!

I work my way through many Creme Eggs each year, and couldnt tell the difference when they changed the chocolate.
I'll try a couple more this evening just to check though.
The thickness of the choclolate changed.
Too sweet for me, they make my teeth itch
My wife made those at the weekend.
Not those actual ones obviously but ones just like them. Nom nom nom 🙂
What is in the middle? Not actual egg, no?
Any love for the caramel egg?
Loved creme eggs, now smaller and chocolate is bland, no thanks corporate america, rip some other shmuck off.
If they shrink them any more then you won't be able to see them.
Make them smaller put up the price ,and use shitter ingredients absolutely boils my piss. "Its because of brexit/ obesity blah". Its cause you corporate assholes want to look better on the ftse, suck on my twix and two creme eggs you bawbags. *
i only eat hob nobs now cause new world order pricks have ruined my choccie bar at lunch time.
What is in the middle? Not actual egg, no?
Yes, actual egg*
*Of the Creme variety 😉
I eggspected Kraft / Cadbury to reintroduce the original Creme Egg this year, if anything they're worse than last year.
It's the worst kind of corporate bullshit, put the price up 5p? Nah we'll just make them shit to increase our margin. Oh sales are down? Make 'em cheaper to make again.
Its around this time of year I dream of a Cream Egg Easter Egg, where the egg is an actual scaled up cream egg. Oh, the joy.

Apparently it's due to consumers - research says we'd rather pay the same and get less/worse product than pay the extra for the same thing.
Personally that research is not representative of my view, I've not had a Creme Egg since they changed the chocolate 👿

A sugar fondant which is possibly the most calorific dense substance known to man, and is nutritionally bereft of any use whatsoever apart from rescussitation of someone in a diabetic coma, and the chocolate used is utter vile to taste. (I use the term chocolate ironically, it isn't chocolate, more a collection of flavoured fats)
I loved the 'fresh minty eggs' Rowntrees made them I think. Haven't seen them for years though.

All spices? Or just a few...must rule out a lot of processed food?!

Thats a thing...my brother made one!

I had a scaled up one about 30 years ago, not official Cadbury, but someone else. You definitely can have too much of a good thing.
What have they actually done to them? Made them smaller. Have they actually changed the chocolate, as I thought Cadbury uk had a different recipe to Cadbury USA anyway. Sad what money makes people do.
Pah..We only have the Lindt ones. 😉

Between downgrading the chocolate and this they have went too far.
Teresa, you have more on your plate than a cream egg. Forget it.
Between downgrading the chocolate and this they have went too far.
What has a chocolate egg got to do with Jesus?
They've clearly missed a trick - they should make Creme eggs and Dairy Milk Creme eggs for 10p more. When you make a budget product you need to also bring in a premium one to capture a wider market share.

Fill yer boots
It's Ok I did some research.

Also to add to that they've not removed Easter at all but you don't want to hear that.

That's the internet in a chocolate eggshell right there.

I remember the smell and texture and taste of a real Creme Egg. Was great.
Cadburys went soft on us. National disaster. Won't be fixed by Brexit. Sad.
Also - it's not Terry's, it's fake. Tiny, concave, soft, sugary choco-like segments for tiny soft hands and teeth. Very bad.
Remember chocolate oranges? They used to be like a segmented cricket ball. Choc hard. You could cause some damage with one. Now more like a chocolate-flavoured candy tangerine. We're all Americans now.
oh brexit and chocolate, where my Marathon !!!!!!!
So May is wrong again. Will she have egg on her face at PMQs?

Would that be the current [s]improved[/s] destroyed pseudo-'Dairy Milk' recipe? Or the real Dairy Milk, like back when it was real?
Because if so - 'premium' can go suck an egg.
'Premium - not quite as shitty as our shittier stuff.'
Nah it's all the muslims, fault innit. Changed the recipe to get them certified halal. Boycott Cadburys!Have they actually changed the chocolate, as I thought Cadbury uk had a different recipe to Cadbury USA anyway.
Sooooo many idiots on twitter banging on about halal chocolate
https://twitter.com/EasterWatch
Always remember a creme egg eating competition on night shift years ago.
I managed 5 and just felt disgusting, others managed between 4 and 8. The winner? 21 creme eggs.
About 1 minute after eating the last one, he puked in a bucket. Smelt like hot chocolate.
Have they actually changed the chocolate, as I thought Cadbury uk had a different recipe to Cadbury USA anyway.
Nope it's not changed despite what the Daily Mail and Telegraph readers believe.
What about Guardian readers? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/jan/12/shellshock-cadbury-comes-clean-on-creme-egg-chocolate-change
Oh aye sorry. The Dairy Milk recipe hasn't changed. 😳
That's not the same as the Daily Mail and Telegraph of the egg chocolate being made halal friendly or that they dropped the name Easter because it's owned by Muslims.
ah! I must admit that particular storm in an eggcup had passed me by until now!
It's quite incredible.
Not that people don't know the finer points of halal, more that even when you try to explain they just don't want to know, it's all a lefty/islamic conspiracy. It's quite [s]incredible[/s] scary.
Russell Kane covers it quite well;

All spices? Or just a few...must rule out a lot of processed food?!
Most of the good ones, paprika, turmeric, cayenne.
Tomatoes and peppers too.
We do a lot of reading labels in the supermarket.
Drac, you are spot on. My mate ran the factory. Yes ran the whole frikin factory. He swears by all that is holy that they didn't change.
Russell Kane covers it quite well;
I think I'd rather eat a kraft creme egg
