Morning all,
Quick question for buying from eBay, does a credit card or paypal offer more protection in the event of anything going wrong?
buying on ebay with paypal literally protects the buyer 100%, even if you buy totally the wrong thing ebay will side with you. It's actually stressful as a seller that someone may dispute your sale
Paypal is pretty good for buyers. Ebay tends to protect buyers more - my son has been fleeced by someone buying a car part, then saying a component was missing (when the advert said it didn't come with said component). Buyer then had part and refund. Never returned part.
It has to be over £100 to get credit card protection. Paypal protection is any amount but more based on goodwill than law. By experience both ebay and paypal protection are pretty good.

Have you spoken to them? Weirdly on the phone works best. I had similar once with something clearly listed in the description. The automated response is to side with the buyer but after a bit of discussion they could see it was written in the original ad and sided with me.
Cool, thanks all. It's for a couple of hundred pounds and having not spent that much on eBay before wanted to check just in case.
Not that this helps the OP but ive stopped selling on eBay as their buyer protection policy is massively abused
I have Paypal credit, it works a treat.
