Is it possible? I want to save some films onto my laptop for watching on the train, turbo trainer etc.
Got Moon on DVD but can't figure out how to 'copy' it
K9 copy works very well (might only be linux though - works for me)
its a sony DVD which aparently makes life difficult, will give k9 a go, windows vista here
ah probably wont work as K9 is a linux only package linky though another good reason of open source
I've got dvd43 running on a laptop to decrypt the dvd - haven't had any problems in a couple of years of occasional use. Just use your regular copy program to create an image if that's what you really want, else use handbrake or similar to rip to mp4, avi, whatever you want.
Dvd43 and makemkv is the quickest way
anyDVD is good.
Try handbrake or DVD decrypter

I've got quite a few Australian DVDs with a regional code. Will any of those applications enable me to to make a copy that will work on a UK regional coded DVD player?
Yes.
DVDFab is also pretty good.
