Two weeks ago I had a get off that resulted in a broken hip and an open fracture and dislocated wrist with a nice 6 night stay in Chester Hospital. I cannot say enough about the support from everyone, the event organisers and responders were brilliant, and while I know the name of the rider who went to get help and then spent the next hour plus slowing riders down so they didn't hit me, I don't know the names of any of the others who stopped to help, one in particular who stayed with me for a while. If any of you are on here, once again thanks, it was much appreciated. I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone else involved and to the NHS for patching me up, even with the 'middle-aged mountain biker' comments. I've been racing and riding mtb for 35 years and this is the biggest damage yet.  Already hobbling about but will be 3 months until I'm riding again.

I was not there, but glad to hear that you're up and about and that the spirit of the MTB community is as positive and supportive as ever

Cheers. I does restore your faith in people, some of which helped my wife pack up  back in Ruthin as well.
