[Closed] Cowan D2+ or Iriver B20? any owners/opinions?

doing it for the dab mostly, both have it but the iriver has a proper antenna, will this make much difference?

I've got a D2 (incidentally for sale). Great sound quality and very tough, but the touch screen started to annoy me: needs 2 hands to select tracks, and too fiddly to operate: fdefinitely not one for quickly changing albums at the traffic lights!

You say that DeeW but a friend who encouraged me to get my D2+ (which i am incidentally listening to now!) used a different flash skin so that he can quickly change between albums in the car. ipod touch style finger movement and look. I didn't think I was one for sound quality but since going from a creative zen stone plus to my D2+ I am really surprised.
the supposed 52 hour battery life is a bonus too. brilliant.
If you use the video its pretty sharp too. I watch the trailer for the dirt finally film every lunch time to keep me going ha.

Ah just realised the second post is yours too so this next statement might make your mind up - I've heard the DAB version of the D2+ has a crap antenna. so the DAB quality isn't too good.

The D2 did originally have a lot of teething problems with the DAB, but it has been dramatically improved over time with firmware updates. Compared to reviews in November 2007, there is a world of difference.

I have read reviews and am leaning towards the D2+ but the iriver does seam to offer a lot for a lot less...

I bought my D2+ for mp3 playing rather than DAB listening.
D2 and D2+ changes are just software changes, the DAB version is a hardware change though as you can imagine.

ah i see, so there are D2+ models without DAB?

yep my response when I saw the DAB version was the same - oh you can get a dab version?!?
they do D2, D2+ and the dab version you've seen

now wondering if the fancy flash skin i mentioned can be used on the DAB version as it'll have different firmware etc.
