What was the lie?
The blog misdescribes the court's decision in its heading.
So it was made clear in their manifesto that they would be hacking up the NHS like this, even before the new bill was passed?
Maybe in politician speak lied should be misrepresented, as they never lie about anything.
Haven't got time to argue about this all day anyway, I've put the information there, you can all make your own minds up. 🙂

I dunno, you tell me. You're the one that says the Tories lied - identify it. Then identify the bit in the decision that says the Tories lied.
David Cameron said " there will be no top down reorganisation of the health service" before the election. a clear lie.
as they never lie about anything
Erm, I think the ruling makes very clear that the Tories lied in this statement :
"From the evidence it is clear that the NHS reforms were introduced in an exceptional way. There was no indication prior to the White Paper that such wide-ranging reforms were being considered."
The "no indication prior" refers to David Cameron's commitment as stated here :
"So let me first make clear what our reforms won't look like.
We will not persist with the top-down re-structures and reorganisations that have dominated the last decade in the NHS.
They have caused terrible disruption, demoralisation and waste, and the people who work in the NHS have just had enough of it.
We believe we can make a big improvement in NHS performance - both in terms of quality and efficiency - within the structures that already exist."
Check it for yourself on the Conservative Party's own website :
All complete lies. They have introduced top-down re-structuring and reorganisation which has caused terrible disruption and demoralised the people who work in the NHS. And they needed to pass the reforms through parliament as they are outside the structures that already existed.
The judgement exposes the fact that the Tories lied. Although of course everyone already knew that, so they could hardly have come to a different conclusion. Still, it's nice to know that conclusion is unanimous. I wonder if as head of state the Queen will take her job seriously and now sack Cameron ?
Politicians lie? Surely policies must change to reflect current understanding of the situation and not just blindly following sound bite rhetoric and dogma. I'd rather have leaders who are willing to change their minds based on evidence in order to make informed decisions than ideological zealots refusing to use reason and critical thinking.
redfordrider - unfortunatly there is no evidecne the this reform will do anythign good at all - thats why almost all professionals are against it.
Do you have some evidence it will do any good?
Good result...but what will it actually achieve?
Surly policies must change to reflect current understanding of the situation and not just blindly following sound bite rhetoric and dogma.
Change policy from the day before the election to the complete opposite the day after the election ? LOL ! 😀
Still, good for you redfordrider for having the guts to stand up and claim that there is nothing wrong in lying to the British people. Not many people would have the nerve to do that.
Good idea. Let's have the person who is only in position due to inherited privilege get rid of the one who had to go through a process of election by the public.ernie_lynch - Member

Well it's likely to make the Tories even less popular, hence no doubt redfordrider's discomfort at the judgement. Other than that it won't achieve anything. The coming local elections should be interesting.
......the one who had to go through a process of election by the public.
You mean the one who failed to win an election and needed to blatantly lie to the public to achieve the support he did manage to get.
And you'll note that the judgment carries the Queen's coat of arms and motto btw. Which suggests that she is an interested party. So what's she gonna do about it ? Nothing ?
