Courses for anything really, equine studies included.

What are you learning next?

Evening class? Distance learning? Work training?

I'm booked on a course for HVLP spraying (High volume/low pressure) as I make furniture and want to be able to paint it really well.

I've done loads of spraying of various paints and wood finishes over my time so know the basics but never really had proper training as such.

Bought myself a cheap hvlp spray machine a while back and have had some good results but need to make my results quicker, better and more reliable so training it is. Looking forward to it.
Quite enjoying the alchemy involved in painting although obviously watching it dry is well boring.

What you doing?

Spanish. But only while I'm here, & it only involves ordering/asking for stuff. Mainly in restaurants. 😂🤔

Spanish. 1400 days into Duolingo and I'm getting there. I've always been crap at languages (failed O level French) but last month when I went to Spain I found I could understand quite a lot.

Kayak, good shout with a painting skills course.
I always arrive somewhere in one of my projects where it needs a bit of painting,so I just launch in to it thinking I know what I am doing, chaos ensues 😆
I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with masking tape and bodged up dust covers.

Booked on a course for Expedition First Aid, because I'm planning to go somewhere remote and because I need a current first aid qual to support my kayaking quals. Planning to do some quick learning of basic Spanish, as I need to pass through Spanish-speaking countries to get to and from my expedition. A bit worried by how long Murray has spent on learning Spanish, I don't have anywhere near that amount of time!

Used to do drumming lessons 1 HR every other week. Daughter wanted piano lessons so had to stop mine to pay for hers.

Still play on my electronic kit at home and working on finding a way to play a proper acoustic kit again. Too bloody noisy.

Would love to do a woodworking/furniture making course. But life is already too busy/expensive and I have no way of making use of any skills until I have a workshop. Ideally I'd like this course to lead into building a very well acoustically insulated room for aforementioned drums.

Always thought there should be the equivalent of Gyms for other space-hungry activities that are difficult to do at home - a place on the high street where you can just go and play the drums for instance.

Manchester Central Library has broadened the definition of 'lending' and has a library of pianos, drum kits, DJ set ups and space the play for free. Now that 'knowledge' doesnt need to be accessed through libraries Ā maybe its physical 'stuff' and hands on experience Ā that should instead - harps, lathes, looms, snooker tables.

Just done 2 of 5 seven hour sessions of zoom training, CPC HGV, and got to organise some continuous development training for chemical spraying ticket to remain valid. I am desperate to start piano lessons but time and money poor means that's on hold as is motorbike lessons for now. Kayak, where to are you as I've been looking at some chairs on e-bay , they are the wrong colour and I was wondering how or where to get them well painted?

Just applied for a future forestry leadership course. If accepted will hopefully be able to out bullshart my bullshart manager whilst taking a massive sideways step around them.
