Currently trying to sell a 4x12 speaker cabinet on ebay and someone has asked if I could ship to London from North Yorkshire. Anyone got best suggestions for how to do this please? I hear there are man with van sites you can book through but no idea which is best or any other good ideas? Cheers!
Can't recommend a specific man with a van but used them a few times and it's been fine. They generally do a big circuit of the country so pick up in one area on a specific day. It's a bit more of a personal service than the big couriers and the stuff gets bashed around less.
This was the last guy I used earlier this year. All was fine.
Put up your job, different drivers/companies will give you quotes with varying speed/insurance etc, pick who you like.
I used to use Shiply, apparently they went bust ages ago. You can also google for "anyvan/shiply alternatives", "van courier" or something to find other similar sites.
Thanks folks! I'll give em a try>
There might even be a 'small' courier service in your town or a nearby town - worth a cursory search! As above, they generally have planned nationwide runs and you can get put in one that makes sense, and it'll be personal service etc as effectively (well literally) you're just dealing with a small business with maybe only a few employees (and a bunch of drivers).
Also try https://www.shiply.com/?source=bing-ppc-brand&msclkid=fec3d181f45f117c664db6db08e223b9 , have used them for various large non urgent things in the past!
+1 for Shiply. you can get some really good deals.
