Very good CFH... f'naar f'naaar...

I was on Countryfile last year - the autumn special in fact. 'Scientist who counts leaves for a living' was how the Telegraph review described me.

Ellie is really rather beautiful though, who can blame her for taking advantage during filming?

How much do you get paid for counting leaves then ?

Do you do it in the Autumn so you can just count the ones on the ground ?

Sounds like a career I could do, Id probably do it in the winter though, that would make it easier 🙂

It is nice in Applecross right enough.

Mark Beaumont, as well. On Countryfile, anyway. Can't speak for his excitement levels.

I got described (somewhat sardonically it would appear) as 'a man who counts leaves, both on trees and off trees', while Matt Baker got described as a 'puppy-eyed labrador', or something like that - with his boundless on screen enthusiasm for absolutely anything placed in front of him, including leaves.

£33k pa... amazing, I know.

(I do, do other things, mind).

Do you have to mark the leaves with a black felt pen to make sure you don't count any twice?

She lives up the lane from me. Bump into her fairly often walking her dogs.

Regardless of Ellie's enjoyment of Applecross (it's a great place for even more reasons now), the lass next to John Craven in that pic's definitely been 'shopped in.

That's the new one from blue Peter. Oh has realised why I always insist on watching country file as I get less interested on the male presenter segments.

I like Ellie. Tight jeans, long boots. A real professional.

Excellent spot. If the truth be known my gaze was elsewhere.

I think as long as it's tastefully filmed, it's ok before the watershed...

Nice bike she hired from "someone" in Inverness. Offers for the saddle?

Can I also propose that the reruns of Fort Board are unsuitable family viewing?

My 12 year old lad finds [s]Melinda Messenger and a variety of scantily Lycra clad athletic women[/s] it fascinating!

Lovely, both Scotlandshire and Ellie.

Looks like a great route that.

I realise this may be abhorrently sexist but when Ellie wears shorts and wellies everything is fine in the world.

was he supposed to touch the outside of the metal whisky thing low down and then out it back in the barrel?

Oh, I wish! (Gazes abstractly off into the distance...)

Good spot, although it is pretty obvious. I had to do something like that once, group shot of shop staff outside on a sunny day, one person missing, pic supplied later of missing person was taken in a slightly different position on a dull cloudy day...
Oh, the fun I had with that!
The client couldn't tell after I'd done, but that was several hours work.
