wifes screens just gone, looks serious enough to be permanent. switched off and on, still the same. pic below.
look dead to you? its a samsung 303C i think. any tricks to get it back to life? new screen maybe, or would that be as expensive as a new chromebook?

That's broke, that is.
You'll need to replace the panel. A brief Google would suggest a replacement screen is about £30 (which is a lot less than I expected). How tricky a job it is, I don't know.
hmmm as suspected. bad timing as she needs it for an online exam in a couple of days while im at work.

might have found it, is it an ebay listing?
its not as much a faff to take apart that it could be, ive already taken the broken one off and apparently need an exact screen model no as replacement. the one on ebay doesnt seem to correspond but ive asked anyway.
she needs a new one by saturday so fingers crossed i can find one and it does next day delivery.....
in case your google fu is stronger than mine (which it probably is), the model no of the screen is B116XW03 V.1
