I picked up a USB stick last night with a short film that my son has to use for a presentation this evening.
The video file is an mp4 but I cannot get it to play on anything. I suspect the file is corrupt so I am clutching at straws to see if anyone has any ideas.
I have tried it on WM Player, VLC and Quicktime (on two different PCs) and also on VLC for Android and the stock Android player.
WM Player gives the stock ...cannot play the file...error.
VLC Hung on my home PC last night and crashes on work PC
Quckitime came up with an error (cannot remember what!).
There's a thing called g-spot (seriously). Google will help you find it. Ahem. It'll tell you what codecs you need to play it back.
Thanks for the suggestion. Gspot recognises the container but nothing else, any ideas?
Go back to the source and get a working copy?
Would have done but it is all last minute. I think we will have to try to get by without it.
