I set up a Limited Company late 2019 as I was offered potential contract work. This offer fell through. In February 2020, I started a new PAYE role, so the Limited Company has never traded whatsoever.
I've received a Notice to deliver a Company Tax Return (Form CT603). I'm assuming it's not worth phoning HMRC to explain that I've never traded now that this has been issued, so do I just fill out a CT600 return with basically "Nil" for every category? If so, I'm assuming I don't need to show my computations as to how I arrived at "Nil"?
Apologies for a very dull question.
Yep, fill in as Zero - my son's just done this for his dormant company. Don't delay though as they will issue fines for late filing !
PS do it on line if you've got a Govt Gateway ID
Cheers Fossy, I tried to do it online with my Gateway ID, but apparently I'm not able too. I've printed off the paperwork and will get it done asap.
Thanks.

There is an option to add corporation tax to the list of services you can access online.
After you log in , you go to the business tax summary and there should be a line that says
Add a tax to your account to get online access to a tax, duty or scheme.
You will need your company UTR number and Registration number to progress though.
From memory , they send you a code by post once you have applied for it. ( maybe all online process now)
