That is really very good!
Yeah, I bet they kept all them sweatshops running at capacity through all this. You know, for unity and whatever...
Wondered how long it would take for the thread to go that way...
Well aware of the shortcomings of the company, but have to admire the work here nonetheless. Picasso was a bit of a misogynist git at times, but it doesn't stop Guernica being absolutely mind blowing.
FWIW, I don't buy from them and this won't change my mind.
Fair point, but I hate this kind of branding exercise. Because that's what it is, branding disguised as virtue.
Well edited, but cynical.

No argument from me.
Admit it's tough, take the logos out and it would be an unquestionably great and 'human' piece of work but they are there...
I’m with fin25 on this. Might look nice and have a good message, but it’s just a cynical marketing grab. If they really gave a shit as a company they’d change their ways.
Well edited, but cynical.
Yep
im/with cynical on this. Marketeers wet dream doing something like this. big wigs at nike wouldnt've even known about it until the last minute, and would have just said "ooh i like that, how much was it?"
Superb video.

Not so sure about that, the whole Colin Kaepernick thing would have been a board level decision esp when Trump went all out against sports people taking the knee. They obviously think about their image / ad strategy at a high level as they take big risks, which you'd never subcontract to an agency.
I think the suits at Nike knew fine we’ll that showing support for Kaepernick would upset a few gammons in MAGA hats at golf clubs, but given that Nike have already decided to ditched golf as a sport and sales of Nike gear to black kids is probably one of their biggest demographics.
As others have said it’s just another virtue signaling advert to try and hide the fact that nothing has changed in their corporate world from sweatshops to coaches encouraging athletes to take dubious substances. Sure it is well edited but so what it’s sole purpose is to sell stuff made as cheaply as they can get away with
To me, what is much more convincing is Mercedes changing of their F1 cars to black to support Lewis Hamilton, but not making a bit deal about it as a marketing tool.
Nice bit of video, but...
Project Oregon, Salazar and dodgy run faster trainers (not to mention sweatshops) mean I’m oot.
