I'm a reasonably average biker and a reasonably good runner.
When I get tired, my form goes all over the place and I run/ ride like an uncoordinated mess, resulting in niggly injuries.
I guess I'm lacking in core strength?
Anyone have any good core workouts or tips?
Pilates, I'm told.

pilates/yoga are good for core stability.
i started going bouldering at my local indoor climbing wall, which has helped my general strength and core stability.
have a look on youtube for core strength/stability workouts.
I find this one quite good, though you do need a stability ball.
Or as others have said Pilates/yoga work well.

I did Pilates for a few years but broke my wrist about 4 years ago, by the time I was good to go back the class had closed. Recently got off my lazy arse and found a new class and now I'm really feeling the benefit. I ride a SS and now am able to grunt the bike up hills easier (well quicker) than I did before, just feel way more powerful, it's the perfect complementary exercise to riding imo.

Quite expensive for what it is (cheap compared to a gym membership, though) but a mate picked one up cheep off ebay and raves about how good a workout it is.

Pilates and yoga sound good too. Just need to find some late-ish evening classes in Airedale/ Wharfedale. Anyone? - Googling isn't much help.
I'll look at the youtube stuff too. It sounds brutal. I like the idea of classes as I'm too good at picking and choosing the easy bits. What I want is a workout I can do from start to finish that hurts everything that needs to hurt!

Turkish get- ups as someone said above. But with a kettlebell. In fact any exercise using kettlebells is great for core strength. Plus you will have a body of Adonis in no time 😉
google / youtube the 300 workout. Found it a great benefit to motivate as your competing against your own will power / stamina / the clock each time.
Works both your core as well as extremities and with some basic equipment (chin bar / kettles / box) can be done at home.
It will hurt ...
any swissball workout is brutal, just started doing them to help my back during work...it hurts but is gentle at the same time.
never tried kettleballs.
yoga for surfers dvd is hardcore too..
Barbell squats with free weight, but get proper advice on how to do it right 😉
