So having been advised that I should get a v10 by the better half I was in Lidls earlier and spotted this https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/MiddleofLidl.htm?articleId=19277
So in typical Singletrack stylee I ignored the request and thought about the saving and bought one as there weren't many left..... 🙂

Now I'm not expecting it to be anywhere as good as the v10 but whichever cordless vacuum we get it'll be used as a supplementary one to our 'enry so I'm loathed to splash out mega dosh.

So has anyone got one of these beauties?

That's where you are going wrong. A decent cordless is a game changer. Not sure when our big one last got used. Still use a Henry in the workshop but pretty much cordless only in the house

You're probably right but will see tomorrow when fully charged!

Hope it's better than the one we bought from there (admittedly a different model and two years ago). Utterly, utterly useless. "How bad could it be for forty quid" I thought? Oh, that bad. Still yours was fifty quid so so two years down the line and for an extra tenner you might have bought something that actually works.

Guess what, put it all together and thought no....
Spent another £450 on a V10 today will collect tomorrow.
That hurt it really did.
But on the upside I will have scored a few brownie points. 🙂

Our Vax thingy arrived at the weekend (after the Brexit vacuum thread) - seems pretty good. I've shoved the normal hoover in the loft.

You were probably right to say no, granny_ring, we're talking a previous model but it was so utterly useless I'm surprised they could market the bloody thing. Only wanted a cheapy to pick up jettisoned bird seed off a hard floor but it barely managed that and what it did pick up it promptly spat out when you switched it off. This was in handheld mode, put it into its upright vacuum frame and it couldn't pick anything up. I doubt things would have gotten that much better since then so spending the extra was probably wise, even if it was another 450 quid. Me, I just went back to using the trusty old Miele. Oh, and back to Lidl for my money back.

I did have a play on one in Currys, have to say it was powerful.
Just seen the cost of the spares though, just hope nothing breaks. 🙂

MIal needed a new vacuum so we checked reviews and it was between the V10 and a shark that was £200 cheaper. She went for the shark and loves it.

I did have a look at the Shark ones too but decided on the v10 in the end, partly as I could demo on and take back to shop if there's any problems.
Haven to say Currys have really upped their customer service from a year or so ago.
Really helped me decide on buying local.
