For a Few Dollars More
The opening sequence of There Will Be Blood - just under 15 minutes of cinematic masterpiece, accompanied by Johhny Greenwood's score. It is utterly mesmerising - perhaps one of the greatest extended non-dialogue sequences of modern cinema
Italian Job, I've driven over the Grand St Bernard pass playing the Matt Munro classic in a Renault people carrier hire car crammed full of sweaty climbers and kit, rather than a 60's Lambo, but was still great.
Swordfish. Average movie, but the first five minutes when the bomb goes off is just stellar.
Casino Royal, it just hit the reset button and the tone for what was to follow.
+1 for Swordfish
Touch of Evil.
Best.
