Can anyone tell me of any cool clothing companies out there as im after some new road gear. Rapha, Castelli etc are all great (but expensive) but everyone wears them. I found some cool stuff on www.blacksheepcycling.cc but cant seem to find how to actually buy anything off there...any other companies knockin out unique/cool stuff?

Cheers in advance.

No. After 28 years in the sport I can categorically state it doesn't exist. Never has and never will. Good yes. Cool no. It's a bit like looking for a football shirt that looks good with jeans... You can fool yourself but not everybody else. 😉

No matter hard the hipsters try, there is no cool cycling clothing.

What about all that massively expensive Paul Smith stuff that he bought out recently? I bet you won't see too many people riding around in that.
And even though it looks a lot like a lot of other cycling stuff, I am sure the Paul Smith label makes it 'cool'. The amount of Specialized/Planet-X stuff in my wardrobe probably rules me out of any 'cool' judgements....

This. You're an adult on a push bike, you're not cool.

Saying that, some of the stuff on Always Riding is very nice.

The club ride kit looks nice, in a casual but functional way.

Not sure what you mean, are you suggesting anyone who wears castelli/assos/rapha is a w**ker? But someone who needs to ask what the cool kit is, is superior in some way?

Hilarious - that Black Sheep stuff is a masterstroke of branding. $300 for a top. Mugs.

But it isn't $300 for a top.

@ Gary M
No i dont mean anyone wearing Castelli etc and i didnt ask "what is cool" i asked where cool (ok, wrong word perhaps) stuff can be bought as i was struggling to find sites selling such gear.

Thanks to those who have posted some interseting stuff to take a look at though.

Nope, it's a bargain with SHORTS included! 😆

You can get some fingerless mitts for only $40 too.

Which is £21, for mitts, is that expensive?

It's almost like they wrote it for you!

http://cyclingtips.com.au/2015/03/whats-cool-in-cycling-kits-in-2015/

the answer seems to be retro or floral 😯

Some are quite nice but they're all just a bit samey/derivative. I quite liked that stars jersey that there was the fuss about when the designer claimed that Wiggle had copied her design as it was different at least.

I like zerorh+ . Italian, well made, comes up small. You won't see anyone else wearing it (unlike rapha).

Yes, mine were five pounds. I thought that was a bit pricey to be honest.

So expensive compared to your mitts but not really that expensive compared to the usual range of mitts you get in a bike shop then.

I heard you can pay as much as £1000 for a whole bicycle these days!

I've been impressed with my Vulpine softshell, it's more of a 'social' cut, not as aggressive as Assos/Rapha etc if that's good or bad. Got an unworn green gilet in small I'm gonna sell if that's of any interest.

I like the Vulpine stuff too though not sure why I bother as I always just tend to wear cheap crap when I'm actually out cycling
