Updated Mozilla Firefox recently and I see that I can block cookies, cryptominers and fingerprinters. I think I know that cookies are little bits of info put into my machine by a website that I visit to identify me on future visits? But cryptominers- surely they can only get in if you allow them to (assuming that only 'legit'sites are visited). And fingerprinters- well, who knew such a thing existed.

Cyptomining using client side Javascript (ie in the browser) most sites including STW are pretty Javascript heavy these days so you can't just switch it off, otherwise things like Ads stop working 😉

Edit: probably worth mentioning you don't have to be visiting a bad site for a cyptomine Javascript payload, they can be sent through things like rouge Ads, though you might not even notice your cpu being used up.

Sounds like a cosmetic issue, really.
