I have a drawing that I need opening and converting to DXF. Anyone can do that for me? I have just been messing about trying to install TrueView for the past 2 hours and lost my rag.

I don't use AutoCAD but should be able to open it in NX. Send it over to the E-mail in my profile and I'll give it a shot.

draftsight is free and will do exactly what you want - it's Dassualt Systemes freebie DXF/DWG editor.

If you struggle, email me and I'll convert for you.

Draftsight is a pretty decent package. Well worth a play with. That said I haven't had any issues with TrueView, although anything associated with AutoCAD is never going to be easy.
