I inherited a small plot of land with a small garage on it from my Grandfather when he passed and wondered if anyone knew what sort of insurance I would need or whether it's just normal contents insurance.

The garage and land is housed between 7ft Granite stone walls and a 7ft steel mesh gate. It's situated about a mile away from my house. I want to store stuff in there but nothing too expensive.

Not had any previous issues with anyone trying to break in, it's like a nuclear bunker the amount of steel he used to build it!

Anyone else have the same sort of thing with insurance?

My last insurer (Barclays) were OK with a similar arrangement - wanted to know garage postcode and some details about security but covered it for a small amount extra.

All risks policy maybe, a Broker may be your best option.
